Week 06- Making a Learning Environment Where People Want to Learn

Too much, too busy, too over-the-top – that is the way to describe many eLearning  sites and situations.  When we talk about E3Learning – effective, engaging and efficient, these should be questions we ask about each activity, each unit, each requirement, and the course and environment as a whole.

One of the difficulties I find in meeting all these criteria, is my lack of skill in knowing “just exactly how” the LMS being used wants to handle certain things and where is the best place to have those resources reside so that they are accessible when students need them.  I want a student to come away from the units work and say that , “I learned something about my career or subject that was important, I learned something about myself, I learned how to better interrelate with peers, and my investment of time was of proportional value.  Sometimes for me, when trying to create online learning, the time investment does not yield the value.

But I am committed to being an online instructor and learner, and so we learn to do better.
