Open CourseWare:Sharing with the Other Children

We read several articles about Open Source and Open CourseWare. One really should have been a blog, it was very slim on substance and little on advancing the quality of education (someone needs to save some paper next time).
I think the concept is incredible!!! Sharing throughout the world, helping everyone improve themselves. A great opportunity exists for us to collaborate with others with varied and similar experiences, with greater or developing understandings, with much or little to contribute. I searched some time ago when I first learned of this idea and found many resources that relate to what I teach. WOW!!! Lots on architectural drawing, yet it seemed to be only partial in development. Reading more has made me think -- the whole purpose is to use and adjust, to adapt and enlarge, to mold the resources into what will work the best.

Open means I have to open up and get involved, inclusion into a global resource to better the education experience for students and promote deep, rich learning. Could this openness lead to a global degree in architectural engineering technology, where we share resources of specialist and produce the next generation of architects and engineers that are one, incorpating innovative products into innovative space and environment? Share the education, share the uplift and prosperity -- globally.
